Hello, my name is Ryan McWherter and I am the President for Men of Integrity – Madera. As we celebrate our 21st annual, it is our hope to see as many men come to the retreat to have an awesome time of fellowship and get closer with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Over the years we have seen many men receive Christ and even get baptized because of the amazing experience they had. God touched them up on the mountain and to this day their lives have been totally transformed. The Men of Integrity Board of Directors wants to invite you up the hill to Sugarpine Christian Camp in April of 2024 to experience the love of Christ and connect with brothers in the Lord from all the surrounding communities. We hope to see you there!

There is something powerful about Men getting away to the mountains of Sugar Pine. Sugar Pine Christian Camps is comprised of 325 acres in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. Sugar Pine Christian Camps is less than an hour north of Fresno on Highway 41 and 10 minutes from beautiful Yosemite National Park.

Founder of THE WORD Community Church in Fresno, California
A native of Los Angeles, California, Pastor Dewayne “Jr” Coleman, Sr. is the founder of THE WORD Community Church in Fresno, California. Pastor Coleman is lovingly called Pastor “JR” by all. Pastor “JR” had been married to his lovely wife Deidre for over 35 years and they are the proud parents of a son, Dewayne Jr. and a daughter, Oree and 1granddaughter ( Breille) who is 6 years old.
On January 21, 1982, Pastor “JR” accepted Jesus Christ as His Lord and personal Savior during his senior year of High School in Gardena, California. After graduating from High School, he attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on a Baseball Scholarship. “JR” was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the First Round in his junior year of college, where he played for two years before he was traded to the cubs.
“I believe that God Called me to the ministry when I was 17 years old. In 1993, Pastor “JR” became the Youth Director at the Cathedral of Love Church in Visalia, California. In 1966, Pastor “JR” was officially licensed and ordained and continued his calling in the Visalia area. In 2001, Pastor “JR” became the Pastor of the College Ministry at Peoples Church in Fresno, California where he is also led the Total Evangelistic Athletic Ministry Program (T.E.A.M) for kids ages 5-14.
“JR” is passionate about winning souls, missions and discipleship. He travels all over the globe preaching and teaching the Word of God. Two of his favorite scriptures are: Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8. Bishop “JR” is also a sought out speaker for seminaries, retreats, revivals, and Sunday morning church services.
